Founder | Cardiac Scientist
Braden is a cardiac scientist with more than 15 years of experience spanning cardiac electrophysiology, implantable cardiac devices, cardiac catheterisation and non-invasive cardiac diagnostics.
His professional experience extends beyond direct clinical care into the management and development of cardiac services, implementation of clinical technology and improvement of healthcare workflows.
Clinical Experience & Project Involvement
Braden's career has included clinical practice, service development and technical project work across metropolitan and regional healthcare facilities in Australia.
- Clinical cardiac services: More than 15 years in cardiac electrophysiology, implantable cardiac devices, cardiac catheterisation and non-invasive cardiac diagnostics, providing care to thousands of patients across healthcare facilities in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast and regional Queensland.
- Cardiac device and remote monitoring services: Management and development of cardiac device follow-up and remote monitoring workflows, including clinical service coordination, technical oversight and implementation of monitoring systems.
- Statewide clinical technology implementation: Involvement in the rollout of upgraded cardiology information systems across multiple hospital sites, including clinical workflow integration, implementation support and service transition.
- Healthcare facility design: Clinical and technical contributions to healthcare facility design and development projects across South East Queensland, with a focus on cardiac services, equipment requirements and clinical workflows.
- Clinical education and governance: Professional education, technical training and contributions to international cardiac device certification and standards.
Professional Qualifications & Governance
Braden holds Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) and Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) credentials through the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), alongside academic qualifications in exercise science and cardiac electrophysiology.
He serves as a Board Director of IBHRE and Co-Chair of its Certified Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS) examination committee, contributing to international professional certification and education in cardiac device remote monitoring.
Medical Physics
Beacon's medical physics services are delivered in collaboration with an ACPSEM-accredited medical physicist in diagnostic imaging.
Services include diagnostic imaging quality assurance, equipment compliance testing, mammography and dental imaging assessments, radiation protection and shielding design.
Services requiring specific regulatory accreditation are undertaken by personnel holding the appropriate authorisations.
